An AI recommended Vierne to me. I browsed IMSLP. I looked at the score of Nocturnes, I thought that the sounds may be beatiful. I read and played them, I felt if I had heard them before, even though I didn't actually had. Déjà-entendu.
I first played his later work and his earlier work, then I decided to move on to Nocturnes.
The texts are written in the score. I translated them from French to English using an AI. I supposed that they may have meaning of the text itself and also metaphors.
I felt something or some images while playing the pieces repeatedly, however, I often played them in a superficial way, enjoying the resonance.
No. 1
As usual, the dynamic range is limited on my digital piano. I played ff in No.1 as expressibly as possible to capture the atmosphere of ff.
Recording method
These days, I exprienced with recording my digital piano by a ZOOM H1essential via PHONES or LINE OUT, but I felt the sound was a bit harsh.
I also tried recording with a ZOOM h1n by connecting to my digital piano via PHONES while playing live. However, I felt the sound contained a little harsh sound.
Ultimately, I felt the pevious method was better: first, recording the performance on my digital piano, and then, plyaing it back through the ZOOM h1n via PHONES to record the output. I felt this method produced the sound that was a bit milder to the ears.
The volume of my digital piano is slightly above 1.
The input level of my h1n is between 4 and7, usually a bit above 5 - I adjust it to avoid clipping.
For rapid pieces, I felt the sound by this method was a bit sluggish compared to my actual playing; it may be due to a slight lag i n my digital piano.
