About Symphony 2 Movement 2 and Symphony 4 Movement 2
One or two years ago, I heard Brahms Symphony No.4 unintentionally. However, I could sing all of the movements - I surprised myself.
I had listened to a CD of Brahms Symphony No.4 repeatedly some time ago, so I memorized them.
At that time I had listened to a CD of Brahms Symphony No.2.
I found piano scores of Brahms Symphonies on IMSLP, so I tried to play them.
I felt that my fingers should move differently when playing from the reduction scores, compared with when I played piano works, so it took time.
Also, I'm taking care not to stretch my fingers too much or hit the keys too strongly on the stiff, shallow keyboard of my digital piano.
As I played the scores, I found that some parts I like when listening to Orchestra have simpler chord progressions than I thought.
They sound quite different when played by an orchestra.
First, I thought that playing the scores was like replaying the orchestra on the piano.
While practicing it, the music from the CDs sounded in my head.
But gradually, I started to think differently.
However, I realized that my digital piano is not an orchestra where experts on different instruments are gathered. Also, I am not a famous conductor like the one on the CDs.
Generally, when you play the piano, a piano teacher says to imagine the instruments of the orchestra.
But I think about it in the reverse vector.
How can I play it with my fingers on my digital piano?
