I asked an AI web service to suggest piano pieces from the time Debussy was alive that I had not known.  Based on the results, I read sheet music on IMSLP.  I thought I might enjoy pieces by Vierne, so I downloaded his  piano scores and played them.

This work "Silhouettes d'enfants" has the simplest notation among them.

(Note that the work was composed in 1920, after Debussy had passed away.)

I think that the work has brighter aspects than his other piano works (exerpt for "Suite bourguignonne").

I feel that the work features fading piano tones than the resonance of organ  sounds.   

I thought that I heard this music before, but I realize I hadn't truly listened to it.

As this is my first time playing his work, I found that some note patterns  and sounds were unfamiliar to me.

(I listened to some of his works for organ and piano quintet.)

I didn't feel the pieces as they were relating to childlen, rather, I thought they were something else.  

I supposed that the composed had been sensing or feeling  silhouettes of children.

I played the pieces simply by reading the sheet music and imagining things that are not real or else.

I think that the una corda pedal of my electric pedal doesn't produce good sound, so usually I refrain from using it.  However, about this work, I think one of intentions behind una corda might have been for a change in tone color, like an organ, so I used it.  

I played the pieces in this way this time.  I hope that the composer wouldn't mind too much .... .

I was curious about the work between the well-known "Waltstein" and "Appassionata".   I opened the music book and started reading and playing it.  I thought that maybe I like it.  I forgot whether or not I had listened to it, maybe, I had listened to it by a complete Beethoven sonata CD or someone playing, etc.   

I felt that the 1st movement is like a sonata in the late period of Beethoven, or Brahms, or Menuetto of Mozart?.   I felt that the 2nd movement is like Sonatine of Ravel, or a rapid music of J.S.Bach, or like some parts of Chaccone in F Major of Pachelbel.

I found that I missed tones occasionaly when I see finger numbers.  I used a music sheet without finger numbers from IMSLP site, and wrote a finger number if I feel it is necessary.  

I found that I can play it easily that I see the left hand notes.  I see vaguely the right hand notes in the edges of eyes.  

I practiced the piece by playing it non-legato and with a rythmic pattern on my digital piano, as well as full legato and as chords.

第１楽章

始めのテーマが何度か出てくる。

弾いているうちに、音符が変わっているだけでなくて、雰囲気も変わっているのだろうかと思った。

Menuetと書いてあるから軽く楽し気に穏やかに弾き始めてみたものの、そういうわけでもなかったのかもしれないと思った。

（尚、録音時に音間違いや鳴らなかった音があります。）

第２楽章

練習をする中で、ピアノ以外の音にして雰囲気を変えて弾いてみたりした。

記憶について考えることがあった。この曲とは関係ないと思うけれども。なので、ブラックホールとかも考えていたりした。

練習しているうちに手と耳で覚えた。

たまに一音ずつ確認するようにした。

この録音の時は、部屋を暗くしていた。それまでの録音では途切れることがあったが、続けることが出来た。

When I was a high school student, I played the electric bass in a small band in a club at school.  Also I continued piano lessons and my piano teacher handed me the music sheet for this piece after we finished the three major sonatas.  I practiced it, wondered "is it Czerny etudes?".  I memorized it then used a grand piano during a lunch break at school to play it, since my piano was an upright piano and my piano teacher's piano was an upright too.

I hadn't played it since then.

Recently I opened this sheet music again.

I noticed different aspects than before.  I think that some parts of this music resemble healing music, drum and bass music, minimal music, or etc..  

I read that this piece "Waldstein" is referred to as 'aurore' in French, meaning 'dawn'.

I had forgotten the notes completely.  

I practiced little by little.  　It took a bit long time.

It was hard to maintain concentration, tension and relaxation to play the 1st movement and the 3rd movement from the start to the end.  I  selected recordings with fewer mistakes and less unnecessary poses. 

I'm not sure whether I like the pieces or not.  However, I think I have become to like them more than before.

I recorded them in July, 2025, Mercury retrograde, Doyo,  further, the 3rd movement on a new moon day.

録音する時に譜面を見ているかどうかというと、見ながら弾くときもあるが、この曲は譜めくりのタイミングの問題と、各部分を練習して結局覚えてしまった（覚えないと弾きにくい）という事情で、但し譜面を置いておきたいと思い、適当なタイミングで譜めくりできるようにしておいた。

高校の頃、（ツェルニーなのかな）と思いながら練習しているうちに覚えてしまったものの（若い頃は手続き型記憶が強いらしい。手を動かせば覚える。あるいは、受験勉強で記憶能力が高くなっていたのかもしれない。）。自分の家も先生の所もアップライトだったので、グランドピアノで弾いてみたくて、高校のピアノで休み時間に弾いた。

特に好きだったわけでもない。その後弾くこともなかった。だから、ほとんど覚えていなかった。

今回は、譜面をみて、和音や音の縦や横の動きや間隔を確認しつつ（手続き型記憶でなくて、理論的に記憶するようになっているらしい）、練習していった。指使いはいつものごとく、楽譜のものはみないよう塗り潰したり、数字が書いていない楽譜をＩＭＳＬＰからダウンロードしたり、自分で考えていく所もあった。

また、最初から最後まで録音することを優先した。尚、運転はできないので想像に過ぎないが、大きめな安定した車、出そうと思えばスピードも出るし、大きなエンジン音も出るような車で、なるべくゆったりと走り、その一方で、スース～と風景が流れていっていくような感じで。

「オーロラ」夜明け、明け方とも言われるらしいですが。真昼間のけたたましさがないように、静かめに始めてみましたが。第１楽章の出だし、ソレのＶで＃ファレなんでしょうけど、ミ＃ファソって、普通のハ長調のミファソより明るいわけで。それで、トトトトと走ってそうなものの、走ると続かないので、抑えて。第２楽章、第３楽章は、スキップしてるような音型にきこえる・みえるものの、スキップし出すと続かないので、抑えて。

第１第２第３楽章を録ったのは土用、水星の逆行なので、アップロードは後でにした。第３楽章は、更に、新月で、ライオンズゲートの前日に録った。

第１楽章、第３楽章は各々１０分超えてしまったので二分割した。

第３楽章の前半は、〇〇のＣＤのコピーではないかとdisputeを受けた。第３楽章全体はdisputeなしでアップロードされたが。

有名な曲だし、音が単純な方だから（弾く人にとってはそうでないかもしれないけれども、譜面・音的には）、コピー判定あるかもなぁと思っていた。（回避できるかなと水星の逆行を避けてアップロードしてみたが、あまり関係なかったかも。）
